What data we process and why

  • Birth data (date, time, time accuracy and place) to calculate charts and reports. If you use the tools without an account, the result is stored temporarily and deleted automatically after 7 days. If you save it to your account, it is kept until you delete it or close your account. Legal basis: performance of the service you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Account data (email, hashed password, language and preferences). Legal basis: contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Purchase data (products, amounts, payment status, a record of your consent to immediate delivery). We never see or store your card details: Stripe handles them. Legal basis: contract and tax obligations (Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(c)). Retention: as required by tax and commercial law.
  • Tax data for each sale: the country you declare, your card's issuing country, your billing country and postal code, and the invoice issued. We use them to apply the correct tax and to evidence where the service was supplied. Legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR; Implementing Regulation (EU) 282/2011 and VAT law). They are kept even if you delete your account, for the legally required period (up to 10 years for sales declared under the EU One-Stop Shop), without linking them to your birth data.
  • Marketing emails, only if you expressly opt in. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Usage measurement: we record aggregated tool-usage and purchase events with a non-reversible daily identifier and no advertising cookies. Legal basis: legitimate interest in improving the service (Art. 6(1)(f)). Third-party analytics only run with your consent.
  • Security: technical logs and rate limits to protect the service. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

We do not make automated decisions with legal effects on you. Astrological interpretations are generated from rules and editorial texts; they are not used to profile you for marketing purposes.

Recipients and processors

  • Clouding.io (hosting in Spain).
  • Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (payments). This may involve international transfers covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
  • Zoho Corporation B.V. (mailbox for elencya.com, EU data centre).
  • Sendinblue SAS – Brevo (delivery of the website's transactional emails, in the EU). Brevo records anonymously, without linking it to your profile, whether an email is delivered, opened or a link is clicked, to measure deliverability.

Your rights

You can access, rectify, erase, object to, restrict the processing of, and request portability of your data by writing to hola@elencya.com. From your account you can download your data and delete your account directly. If you believe we have not handled your rights properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or your local supervisory authority.

Minors

The service is not intended for children under 14.
